Often I neglect What I need, Ignoring even The most urgent plead. Suffering from delusions Of adequacy, I’ll neglect What’s necessary for me. I’ll focus, instead, On what I desire, Putting my unneeded demands Up higher and higher. I lose myself Along with what I need. I submit to desire, Joining the fool’s creed.
